Section 5123.60 | Ohio protection and advocacy system.
(A) As used in this section and section 5123.601 of the Revised Code, "Ohio protection and advocacy system" means the nonprofit entity designated by the governor in accordance with Am. Sub. H.B. 153 of the 129th general assembly to serve as the state's protection and advocacy system and client assistance program.
(B) The Ohio protection and advocacy system shall provide both of the following:
(1) Advocacy services for people with disabilities, as provided under section 101 of the "Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act of 2000," 114 Stat. 1678 (2000), 42 U.S.C. 15001;
(2) A client assistance program, as provided under section 112 of the "Rehabilitation Act of 1973," 29 U.S.C. 732.
(C) The Ohio protection and advocacy system may establish any guidelines necessary for its operation.
(D) The Ohio protection and advocacy system shall adopt a policy that acknowledges and supports the right of individuals who receive services from the Ohio protection and advocacy system to reside in and receive services from an ICF/IID.
