Section 4713.35 | Permitted practices.
An individual who holds a current, valid cosmetologist license or an advanced license to practice cosmetology issued by the state cosmetology and barber board may engage in the practice of one or more branches of cosmetology as the individual chooses in a licensed facility.
An individual who holds a current, valid esthetician license or an advanced license to practice esthetics issued by the board may engage in the practice of esthetics but no other branch of cosmetology in a licensed facility.
An individual who holds a current, valid hair designer license or an advanced license to practice hair design issued by the board may engage in the practice of hair design but no other branch of cosmetology in a licensed facility.
An individual who holds a current, valid manicurist license or an advanced license to practice manicuring issued by the board may engage in the practice of manicuring but no other branch of cosmetology in a licensed facility.
An individual who holds a current, valid natural hair stylist license or an advanced license to practice natural hair styling issued by the board may engage in the practice of natural hair styling but no other branch of cosmetology in a licensed facility.
An individual who holds a current, valid cosmetology instructor license issued by the board may teach the theory and practice of one or more branches of cosmetology at a school as the individual chooses.
An individual who holds a current, valid esthetics instructor license issued by the board may teach the theory and practice of esthetics, but no other branch of cosmetology, at a school.
An individual who holds a current, valid hair design instructor license issued by the board may teach the theory and practice of hair design, but no other branch of cosmetology, at a school.
An individual who holds a current, valid manicurist instructor license issued by the board may teach the theory and practice of manicuring, but no other branch of cosmetology, at a school.
An individual who holds a current, valid natural hair style instructor license issued by the board may teach the theory and practice of natural hair styling, but no other branch of cosmetology, at a school.
An individual who holds a current, valid boutique services registration with the board may engage in the practice of boutique services but no other branch of cosmetology.
