Rule 1501:21-11-03 | Construction materials.

 

For all materials, such as borrow soil, aggregate, riprap stone, and filter material, that are proposed for use in the dam or levee, the applicant shall determine the locations and extents of these materials, and their structural properties and gradations when incorporated into the proposed dam or levee, and show the locations of these materials on the plans.

A construction materials investigation shall be conducted to determine the suitability of the material to construct a dam or levee.

(A) The construction materials used to construct the dam or levee must be able to remain stable for all loading conditions and have limited detrimental settlement.

(B) The construction materials must be able to limit any detrimental seepage that could impact neighboring properties or destabilize the dam or levee.
